After practising with Gimp for a while, we started with our first project with Gimp:Sillhouettes

Overall, I liked how it turned out, the sillouette is a little bit inaccurate to the original image, but overall, the end result was nice, I really liked how the image of the forest turned out too.
Do you really mean the sentence? The silhouette is a bit rough, you need to take more time with the lasso tool. It's good that you decided to use the forest for the sentence.
