Highschool Decoration

For our Gimp project we made the decoration of a higschool (I did mention it in my week report sometime ago). I finished it, and now I can share it, here it is:

The side part looks surprisingly good (not the drawing, just how natural it looks), the front parts looks good, also, but it's so bright,it looks unnatural. I also had some problems with the tree...

I did like doing this, definitely helped to improve my GIMP techniques.

This week in Computing Class we started working on our next Gimp Lesson: decorating our high school.

Basically we were given an image of our high school from the exterior in which we were supposed to make a drawing and put it on the walls of the high school in a way that it actually makes it look natural. As of right now I still haven't finished, so I will post the end result next week (or at least I hope to).

We finished the week by sharing Gimp tricks to other classmates, I told the class how to undo or to redo your drawings (Control + Z for removing stuff, Control + Y for redoing stuff), for example.

I would like to try all of the tricks tomorrow, I just hope that I can remember all of them!

This week in class we investigated 6 different  image formats and when to use them, by far the biggest help was these posters that we found about some of the image formats:

We separated into groups and started to investigate them, our group was a little bit disorganized, but we managed to do it.

We finished the week by doing two posters about them and their characteristics, you can find them in our Computing class, but for the readers that aren't part of the class, this page has tons of information regarding image formats and they probably do a much better job at explaining it than myself :

Not a nice week in Galicia!

After spending a week in Galicia for New Year and Three Kings Day, I would have liked to post some photos of myself spending a nice and sunny week there...

But i's exactly the opposite, the whole week was full of rainy and windy days, a complete storm, fortunately it wasn't so severe and there wasn't any type important damage, but several traffic problems occured just because of this, and several trees were even cut off, it was definitely a pity not being able to see The 3 Kings parade without completely soaking yourself. I have some images of the storm:

You can literally say it was the windiest week of the entire year!

Gimp Lesson 2:Snow

Our second lesson of Gimp was adding snow to pictures, it was really fun! Here's how mine looked up:

While I think that the picture I chose wasn't the best one for adding snow, I still think it turned out good.

I hope that my readers have a nice Christmas and a nice Christmas reunion with your family and friends!

Gimp Lesson 1: Sillhouettes

After practising with Gimp for a while, we started with our first project with Gimp:Sillhouettes

Here you can see what I did:

Overall, I liked how it turned out, the sillouette is a little bit inaccurate to the original image, but overall, the end result was nice, I really liked how the image of the forest turned out too.

Hi, I´m Adrian again, and this time I am going to talk about my presentation to give a slight idea of what I was talking about, my classmates also did one about different networks  and the Internet and you can find it in their respective blogs, I did one about Cybersecurity. Now, I talked about what was cybersecurity and why do we need it, the answer may be obvious, but it.s still important to understand it,Cybersecurity is the act of protecting our electronic devices from potential threats, knowing the threats that can attack our computers is also really importand for understanding Cybersecurity, I mentioned the most important ones in my presentation, they were: Computer viruses, Trojan Horses, Spyware, Phising and also electronical spamming, you will probably encounterter at least one of them at one point in your life (you may already have seen them, even if you don´t know it), for that reason knowing the measures for counterattacking them is really important, an offensive approach to them is the best one ( but you would probably want to let that for the experts).

Aside from that I also talked about the most importan cybersecurity companies, like Avast, Trustwave, FireEye and Cylance.

Finally,I talked about the threats of cyberbullying and the awreness of this common problem.
